Two Agencies, One Mission

We Care is a charitable program created and led by the employees of Spire America Holdings. This includes the dedicated sister agencies’ teams from both Top O’ Michigan Insurance and Spire Insurance Solutions.

Driven by our passion for giving back, We Care supports local organizations through fundraising events and donations. Every contribution is made possible through the generosity of our employees, with all donations being company-matched to maximize the impact.

As a family-run business, we believe in building stronger communities, and We Care is our way of making a difference where it matters most.

Annual Barn Sale

This year’s WeCare Barn Sale was a huge success—and a total blast! Held in Alpena, the event brought together our team, generous donors, and community members for a fun-filled day of shopping, connection, and giving back. Thanks to everyone who donated and stopped by, we raised $900, which was donated in full to the Donald E. Bartosh Memorial Entrepreneurial Scholarship. This scholarship honors the legacy of Donald Bartosh—a man known for his unwavering positivity, faith, and dedication to uplifting others.

Awarded annually at Alpena Community College, the scholarship supports aspiring entrepreneurs who show a passion for innovation, business development, and leadership. Our contribution will help empower the next generation of business leaders right here in northern Michigan.

The barn sale was more than just a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community spirit, collaboration, and the impact we can make when we come together for a great cause. We’re already looking forward to next year! 

Raise The Flag, Honor Our Veterans

This Veterans Day, we came together to honor the heroes who have served our nation. The American flag is more than a symbol; it represents the freedom, unity, and sacrifices that our veterans have fought to protect. We believe that every family should have the chance to proudly display this symbol of patriotism.

To ensure that everyone in our community could fly their flag high, we offered a flag exchange. Community members brought in their worn or tattered American flags, and we replaced them with brand-new flag, at no cost.

Palomino Hope transforms the lives of underprivileged children by offering them free access to equine therapy. Through riding programs, provided at no cost—including meals and equipment—these children experience healing, growth, and confidence-building opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.

How We Give Back

Company Matched Donations

Every Friday, our employees dress casually in exchange for a donation to support local charities.

Quarterly Donations

Each quarter, employees nominate and vote on which organization will receive our quarterly donation.

Fundraising Events

We host and participate in various fundraising events throughout the year, with all proceeds benefiting local causes.

Volunteer Time

Every employee is given one paid day off per year to volunteer at a nonprofit organization of their choice.
